Archcathedral Undergrounds, Łódź

Project performed in the undergrounds of the Łódź Cathedral Basilica of St. Stanisław Kostka. In the underground multimedia room, adjoining to the Basilica, there is i.e. a 36-metre screen surrounding the room in a semi-circle and equipment for multimedia projections, giving not only sound and light effects, but also scent effects.

Scope of cooperation:
Comprehensive performance of the 360-degree projection system composing of:
– 13 projectors with the brightness of 5000 ANSI, native resolution of the projection system 16,640 x 800
– projection screen with the length over 36 metres
– control system constructed based on a 6-touch interactive table of 42″ with a picture control function using touch gestures
– sound system

Within the scope of cooperation, we provide also maintenance services of the installation.

This installation is focusing on promotion of knowledge about the Łódź Cathedral Basilica by presenting:
– a brief (2-minute) film story about the project of Centrum Idei “Ku Wielokulturowości”
– and the historic part (18-minute) composing of i.e. archive iconography materials collected in the cathedral archives, regarding construction and first years of the Cathedral’s existence.

Film informing about a project conducted within the regional operational programme of ‎Łódź Province, will depict assumptions implemented at the same time in Łask, Łódź, and Piotrków Trybunalski.
